Peanut Butter Cookie Mix

 
1.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Combine all ingredients until well blended.  Form soft dough into 11/2 inch balls and roll each in sugar, if desired.

2.  Place about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes (cookies will bake faster on darker cookie sheets).  Cookies will look slightly underdone with a domed top.

3.  Let cool on cookie sheet before removing.

Yields: 40 cookies

2. ? cup shortening
3. ¾ cup peanut butter
4. 2 tablespoons milk
5. 1 egg
